New York City police officers shot and wounded a man after he allegedly stabbed four children with a meat cleaver.

Multiple girls between the ages of 8 and 16 were hospitalized after officers found them inside a Brooklyn apartment.

“The suspect, identified as 49-year-old Longqian Chen, was in critical condition.
