A Democrat mayor in New Jersey will endorse Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli and is expected to switch parties.

Garfield Mayor Everett E. Garnto, Jr., a Democrat, is expected to make an announcement this week.

According to the New Jersey Globe, Garfield is the “fifth-largest municipality in Bergen County.”
