Former GOP congressman George Santos pleaded guilty on Monday to wire fraud and aggravated identity theft charges.
Santos, who was expelled from the House of Representatives, reached a plea deal with federal prosecutors in New York.
“This plea is not just an admission of guilt,” Santos said, according to ABC News.
